# What is Magica: a chatbot, AI agent, or virtual employee?

Magica is an AI work platform built around an autonomous, general-purpose AI agent. You describe an outcome, and Magica can use models, tools, files, a browser, a cloud computer, and connected apps to complete the work.

It can chat, but it is more than a chatbot. A normal chatbot primarily gives you text. Magica can also plan and take action across multiple steps.

| A chatbot usually | Magica can |
| ---------------------- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| Answer a question | Research a topic and organize the findings |
| Suggest steps | Carry out a multi-step task |
| Draft content | Create files and reusable deliverables |
| Explain code | Build, run, and revise code in a cloud workspace |
| Describe an automation | Build a repeatable process in **Flow** |
| Recommend an AI model | Run a model directly through **Nodes** |

You can think of Super Agent as an on-demand AI worker or virtual employee for digital work. It does not replace human ownership or judgment. You choose its access, set boundaries, review sensitive actions, and remain responsible for the final result.

## The main parts of Magica

* **Super Agent** handles open-ended work in a conversation called a **task**.
* **Flow** lets you build repeatable visual workflows.
* **Nodes** lets you run one AI model or utility directly in a playground.
* **Library** stores generated and uploaded assets.
* **Projects** group related tasks, files, instructions, and memory.
* **API / MCP** connects Magica workflows and models to code or compatible AI clients.

## Where you can use Magica

* **Web:** [magica.com/app](https://magica.com/app)
* **iOS:** [Download from the App Store](https://go.magica.com/iOS)
* **Android:** [Download from Google Play](https://go.magica.com/android)
* **Developer and AI clients:** [View API and MCP documentation](https://magica.com/docs)

Magica works in its own cloud environment. It does not automatically control your personal computer or access your accounts. You decide what files to provide and which supported apps to connect.

[Open Magica](https://magica.com/app) and start with **New task** if you are not sure which surface to use.
